This happened about 9 months ago, we went for a ride out to the country, they have a nice little pub that you can drink at or you can drink at the brewery just around the corner.
When we arrived I didnt think much of it at the time, I turned to Dave and said I think your bike sprung a leak, I can smell oil. He just laughed and said "yeah right..dont think so numb nuts"

After about 2 hours drinking, eating, talking shit etc, we came back outside, and my jaw dropped, it was my bike that had the leak. Now the rule of thumb with a bike is.....if the oil leak is 1 inch over an hour, then its considered almost normal.

THIS WAS A MOTHER OF ALL LEAKS AS YOU CAN SEE.

Swede bought up the subject of riding etc, and it reminded me that summer was almost here, and time to get the beast out. Now I have a headache to fix, that honestly I had forgotten about.

another angle, it was the header tank that had the leak, oil was running down behind the primary, past the gearbox, and being splattered all over the joint. the mess was worse than what the photos actually show.

I'd say it is time to get it fixed. By the way, where I live it is always riding season.

You better do it soon or you will be kicking yourself when everyone else is riding & you are sitting at home posting & grumbling on here.

What is a crutch rocket?  I know what a crotch rocket is and your son would be better off with a new Mustang GT.

Sorry, RK  I was just trying to agravate swede.

this thing is a beast, 8 inch extended spring arm....... good for winding it out, theres no way on this planet as long as my arse points to the ground that the front wheel will lift of the ground.

My son will eventually end up with the car after I buy a jeep or another truck. Oh , my second buy after that is a "bobber" denim black.
